What to Expect

The days will be filled with activities designed to take you as close as possible to the wildlife.

You’ll boat up to herds of elephants, 500 strong, and explore remote islands on foot; zoom across floodplains in a custom 4×4 in search of game, and spend afternoons watching the birds flit across china-blue skies. If a mobile expedition in the most stylish of camps, with a dose of incredible game-viewing in a truly wild environment, sounds like it might be your thing, you won’t get much better than this.

  • Experience Botswana’s most pristine and game-rich wilderness areas, the Okavango Delta, on the move – undoubtedly the best way to do it.
  • Mix up your game viewing activities and explore the bush on a walking safari or watch the hippo languishing in the shallows on a boat or mokoro safari.
  • Whether you’re looking for leopard spotting or lion tracking, cheetah chasing or dog discovering, this itinerary has all the predators you could possibly want.
  • Spend a night fly-camping on a remote, lantern-lit island, just like the explorers of old.
  • Have your binoculars at the ready for the extraordinary variety of birdlife in the Delta, with everything from bee-eaters to bustards.
Itinerary

Day 1 Fly into the Okavango Delta

Guests fly from Maun where you will be met by your guide and arrive at the Delta Airstrip. Drive to camp while enjoying the sights and familiarizing yourself with the area. Arrive

and settle in. Enjoy a delicious afternoon tea and relax before setting off for an evening game drive and sundowners. Return to camp for dinner under the stars.

Day 2Fly to Camp Okavango Delta

After breakfast, it’s off to the lagoon’s edge for a boat safari in the waters of the Okavango. You’ll putt along the maze of lily-lined channels, picnic under the trees, and swim in the glassy lagoons. Camp tonight is on a private-lantern lit island, where it’s just you, your mosquito net, and a million stars overhead.

Hot Air Ballooning Over the Okavango Delta

Drift over one of Africa’s great wilderness destinations on a serene hot air balloon flight. This age-old adventure explores the Okavango Delta in a completely unique way, offering 360-degree, panoramic views of the unique landscape from tree-top level right up to a thousand feet in the air.

Day 3Mobile Camp Okavango Delta

Lace-up your walking boots and head out on a walking safari around the island – a highlight has to be watching the elephant splashing in the shallows. Then, it’s back to the boat for the last drift through the papyrus before you head back to the mobile camp for your last night.

Optional – Helicopter Day Trip to Tsodillo Hills

Take a trip to Tsodillo Hills and discover the ancient rock art hidden in the extraordinary landscape. Flights are usually done in the morning, and the trip takes approximately 5.5 hours in total from the Delta.

Day 4Departure

You depart to Maun on a Cessna flight to catch your flight home.
