Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Cape Town

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met  by your guide who will drive you  to the luxury hotel. As you drive toward the city, your view  from afar will be Table Mountain, one of the most spiritual  places on earth, with its heart, two oceans and the beautiful  city of Cape Town at its feet.

Day 2 Guided Table mountain and City Historical Tour

After breakfast we ascend by aerial cableway* to the summit of Table Mountain, an iconic symbol of the city (weather permitting). From atop, view the amazing panoramic views of the waterfront, the majestic Hottentots Mountains, and the gorgeous Cape Peninsula. On a clear day, you can see as far as Robben Island. 

Then, an exploration of the rich history and cultural sights of Cape Town on a drive past the impressive Castle of Good Hope, the City Hall, St. George’s Cathedral, a seat of the Anglican Church, the Great Synagogue and Holocaust Center and the lush Company’s Gardens adjacent to the South African Parliament. Situated on the slopes of Signal Hill, we reach the exotic Bo-Kaap quarter, formerly the Cape Malay Quarter, one of the oldest and most fascinating residential areas in the city with its brightly colored homes and winding cobblestone streets that date back to the 18th century. Linger on your own or return to the V&A Waterfront for leisure time.

Day 3Private Cape of Good Hope Tour

Wake up to the beauty of this historic city and at 8 am we depart to explore  the picturesque scenery on a Cape Peninsula tour as you drive along the exquisite stretch of coastline. Relish the breathtaking views along legendary Chapman’s Peak and take a ride on the Flying Dutchman funicular to the old lighthouse. On your way back towards Cape Town, visit the endearing African penguin colony at Boulders Beach. 

The Day’s Programme in Detail

8am Pick up at V&A Waterfront Hotel Take the M3 to False Bay coast at Muizenberg.

Go through coastal villages of Kalk-Bay and Fish-Hoek to Simon’s Town and visit the African Penguin colony at Boulders Beach.

Stop at Cape of Good Hope, take the Flying Dutchman funicular to visit Cape Point Lighthouse on top of Cape Point, and take in the views from the cliff lookouts, take pictures behind sign board.

See the Dias and da-Gama monuments

Return to Cape Town along western coastline through Scarborough, Misty Cliffs to Noord-hoek Village. Drive Chapman’s Peak Drive to Camps Bay, Clifton, and Bantry Bay back to Cape Town.

Day 4Cape Wine Safari

Attention wine lovers! Tantalise your taste buds and brush up on your wine knowledge on our Full Day Winelands Tour. Enjoy three wine tastings at award-winning wine farms, accompanied by a cheese assortment and cellar tour, an exciting ride on the Franschhoek tram, and a visit to the Drakenstein Prison where Nelson Mandela spent the last part of his captivity.

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred for your scheduled flight to Hoedspruit and your luxury lodge in Karongwe Game Reserve. Blending unassumingly into the natural environment, the lodge has a wonderful sense of remoteness and peace.

Day 6Private Safaris

Day 7Karongwe/ Hoedspruit / Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

You will be transferred to Skukuza Airport for your flight to Victoria Falls. Transfer to your lodge nestled among the trees in the Zambezi National Park. 

Meaningful Moment: In the afternoon enjoy a tranquil sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. Take to the river on a sunset cruise. Watch as the sun’s last rays dance across the shimmering surface of the mighty Zambezi. 

The park offers outstanding natural, scenic beauty with a wide diversity of game and bird life. Sit back and be lulled by the ebb and flow of the great river as you drift quietly past elephants, hippos and crocodiles.

Arrival Victoria Falls – Zambezi Cruise

On arrival at Livingstone Airport or Victoria Falls Airport you are met by your guide and transferred to your hotel for check in. You get visas on arrival at the airport.

Enjoy a Sundowner in the mighty Zambezi River this afternoon at 16h30pm on the Zambezi River until 18h30pm.

Activities Included:

The Zambezi River cruise is a superb way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the River. You may have the opportunity to see a variety of game; including hippo, crocodile and elephant in their home environment, as well as enjoy the many different bird species!  Other popular activities include scenic flights over the falls in helicopters or micro lights, bungee jumping off the Victoria Falls Bridge, white-water rafting (seasonal). The town itself offers an eclectic variety of African curios and authentic art sold by friendly Zimbabwean locals who are wonderfully welcoming and eager to help you enjoy your stay.

Day 8Private Victoria Falls Walk

After breakfast enjoy a guided walking tour of Victoria Falls, one of seven natural wonders of the world. This tour takes you through the magnificent rainforest where you are able to view the Cataracts, Livingstone’s statue and a wide variety of birds and plants.

There are additional activities on offer (at an extra cost) which guests can book.

Imagine taking on the mighty Zambezi River on a white-water rafting trip. The rapids on the Zambezi are officially defined as “Grade 5.”The Flight of Angels offers an amazing opportunity to experience a flight in a helicopter and an unrivalled and superior view of the Victoria Falls.

Other adventure activities include bungee jumping, micro lighting over the Victoria Falls, a Livingstone Island visit and swimming at Devil’s Pool. Guests can also visit the Falls on the Zambian side.

These activities are an optional extra and can be booked at the lodge.Guests staying at this Lodge are able to indulge in a range of spa treatments – including massages, facials and manicures – while enjoying spectacular views over the Zambezi River (additional cost.)

Day 10 Victoria Falls – Chobe

After breakfast you go on  your private transfer to your lodge in the world-renowned Chobe National Park. The park, located in northern Botswana, covers thousands of miles of pristine wilderness, ranging from the verdant flood grassland and thickets beside the Chobe River, to forest, mopane woodland and scrub. Here the wildlife roams in profusion and diversity. The elephant population is considered the largest concentration in Africa surviving within the confines of a proclaimed National Park. (BLD)

Day 12 Chobe Safaris and Farewell

Enjoy a morning 4×4 safari as you look out for the elephants going for their morning drink and the herds of buffalo congregating along the fertile floodplains. Lion, leopard, African wild dog, puku, red lechwe, sable, giraffe and roan antelope are often seen. The birding in the region is spectacular.  Return for breakfast and late today you will have a shared transfer to Kasane airport in time for your onward departure flight. (B)
