Sunsets Africa Travel is a member of the Tourism legislative body SATSA (Southern African Tourism Services Association) and is protected by bonding, which ensures that all members abide by a strict code of conduct and ethical behaviour and operations in the Southern African tourism sector. To become a SATSA member, a business must prove annually that they adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and service. SATSA has also established the SATSA Bonding Scheme (a consumer protection scheme to provide guarantees against deposits held with SATSA member), guaranteeing its quality assurance role for years to come. SATSA Bonding refers to the SATSA Lost Advances Fund that has been created to deal with losses incurred by any SATSA member or customer of the SATSA member, as a result of that member being placed under involuntary liquidation. These losses are defined as the amount paid for services to a service provider and/or the reimbursement of any deposits. Any loss insured by any other existing policy are excluded. Services are defined as accommodation, travel arrangements, tour operators and the like, booked by the service provider on behalf of the client for provision of services. Service provider is defined as any company, excluding associated or subsidiary companies, with whom the member has entered into an agreement to provide services and may include other members.
